Google recently announced their Android One project at Google I/O and the first smartphone that is going to launch in the Android One program is on 15th of September, but looks like we did not have to wait that long to see one as Flipkart accidentally posted a Spice Android One Dream UNO Mi-498 smartphone before the announcement date.

According to Flipkart the phone is priced at $115 which is an affordable price for the India market. The smartphone also comes with a good set of specs which includes a 4.5 inch screen, a MediaTek quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of on board storage with micro SD card slot, 5MP camera on the back while a 2MP camera at the front and to power it all a 1700mAh battery. Android One smartphone no matter what model will all support the latest version of Android and will also receive updates just like any other Nexus or Google Edition smartphone.

Though Spice already told us about the phone on their social feed but thanks to Flipkart we also known the specs on the smartphone with Google launching its first Android One smartphone on Monday. Spice is not the only Indian company that will make Android One smartphones as Micromax and Karbonn have also teamed up with Google to come up with their version of Android One smartphones.

The aim of Android One to provide everyone with a smartphone so that they too can enjoy the possibilities that a smartphone brings and to do that Google is targeting emerging markets where people do want to get a smartphone but don’t have the power to afford one and that is why Google has teamed up with such Indian companies to come up with affordable Android smartphones running Stock Google Android.
