Blackberry Z3 smartphone is an entry level smartphone that has been circling around the emerging markets where users need a good smartphone with affordable price. Blackberry will start selling it Blackberry Z3 in Philippines starting today with the help of authorized dealers there. Blackberry and Foxconn has joined a pact for the next five years and as a result this the first smartphone that the two companies came up with, where Foxconn as always will deal with the manufacturing and Blackberry will be dealing with the OS and marketing with split profits between the two companies.
The entry level Blackberry Z3 is equipped with a 5 inch display that supports a resolution of 540 x 960 with a pixel density of 220ppi, Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 dual core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB on onboard storage with an SD card expansion slot up to 32GB. There is also a 5MP camera on its back while a 1.1MP camera at its front and to power it all a 2500mAh battery. The Blackberry Z3 comes with a retail price of $250 and will be running Blackberry 10.2.1 OS.
Though Foxconn and Blackberry are coming up with its first entry level smartphone, Blackberry its self also has plans to come up with a high end device as well, known as Blackberry Passport. Blackberry Passport Is said to have a 4.5 inch display that will support a resolution of 1440 x 1440 with a new and improved Blackberry keyboard specifically designed for the device.
Blackberry is really trying hard to come back again as the company is not making as much profit as it used to with its smartphones. Users now a day need a lot more than what Blackberry offers mainly customization and apps which is something that Blackberry does not have.
