Waster and dust resistant smartphone was first launched by Sony when they came up with Sony Xperia Z1 last year which was one of the perks of Xperia Z1 while Samsung also joined along this year with their Galaxy S5. What about LG G3 the 2014 flagship smartphone from LG does it support water or dust resistance well according to LG it does not, but a video was uploaded on YouTube by Harris Craycraft, after which we can’t say the same as he put his LG G3 through some serious water test.

Harris Craycraft tried to wash his LG G3 with tap water as well as submerged his LG G3 in water for 2 hours with screen on and it doesn’t seem to have any effect on the phone at all as the phone was still working fine but after he removed the back cover there was some water that managed to get inside but didn’t affect the phone. Though the demonstration shows that LG G3 can withstand a normal dip in the water doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t be careful with it except that we even don’t know if the speakers of the phone are working fine as he didn’t turn his speakers on anywhere in the video.

If your don’t know LG G3 is equipped with a 5.5 inch screen that supports a resolution of 1440 x 2560 with a pixel density of 534ppi, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5 GHz coupled with Andreno 330 GPU, 2GB RAM on the 16GB version while 3GB RAM on the 32GB version with micro SD card slot, 13 MP OIS camera on the back while a 5MP camera at the front and to power it all 3000mAh battery.

Either the phone is resistant to water or not, whatever the case may be but LG sure has showed some great engineering skills with their LG G3.
