We were sure about Samsung launching their Note 4 at IFA but Samsung also took us by surprise by coming up with two flagship smartphones instead of one and launched Galaxy Note Edge alongside Galaxy Note 4. What is unique about the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is its design as the smartphone has a curved display, not the typical type that you would expect but curved in a way that the screen is now also on the edges of the smartphone.

Users can take a lot of advantages from a screen like that as they won’t have to turn on the screen now to check for notifications. Users will be able to check their notifications on the edges of the screen which would save a lot of battery. There are also new buttons on the smartphone as well as customizable features that users would love to work with.

Other than the curved edge display the specs on the Galaxy Note Edge is the same as Galaxy Note 4 and comes with a display that measures at 5.6 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 and additional 160 pixels at the edges of the screen. The phone is also equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor that is clocked at 2.7GHz coupled with Andreno 420 GPU, 3GB of RAM, 16MP OIS camera on its back while a 3.7MP camera at its front with an aperture of f/1.9. The phone also gets the same S-Pen that Note 4 has and slightly differs front Note 4 because of the screen size and design.

This is yet another experiment front Samsung and if people did show interest in a smartphone like this then Samsung might consider coming up with a new model each year along with a new Galaxy Note.
