The European model of Samsung Galaxy S5 under the model number SM-G900F has started receiving a firmware update via OTA which means it’s an official update for Galaxy S5. The firmware update is an important update as it will improve the performance of your Galaxy S5 even more. There were some complaints about the UI on the Galaxy S5 to lag from time to time for no reason and the gallery also lagged while opening up which can be frustrating on a smartphone with such high end hardware, hopefully all these issues will be fixed with the new performance firmware update.

The firmware update will change the firmware version of Galaxy S5 to XXU1ANG2 and no just that but the smartphone is also getting a new baseband and kernel. This is the second time that Samsung has updated their Galaxy S5 after its launch. It looks like Samsung is serious about their Galaxy S5 which does not come as a surprise as the company has not been doing well with the Sales on Galaxy S5 and of course they would want their users to stick around.

Some of your might not have received the update yet, but be patient as it will arrive soon and for those of you who are impatient, they can always check for updates manually by going into the Settings then About phone and then Software updates. Samsung Galaxy S5 is a great device with the latest specs that the market has to offer and no one would want a phone like that to lack in performance.

If you are one of the users who already got the update and have installed it already then let us know how well the update is and what improvements did you notice in terms of performance.
