Samsung’s highly anticipated smartphone, the Galaxy S6 was finally showcased by the company one day before the MWC 2015 had officially kicked off. The device sports an embellished design and is available in two variants; a regular version as well as one that features the curved edge display that is currently present on the company’s Galaxy Edge smartphone. There have been some significant improvements when comparing the Galaxy S5 with the Galaxy S6 as was expected from before.

The Galaxy S6 and its curved edge variant possesses a 5.1 inch screen size that is resonating a resolution of 1440p. Presented in a wide range of colors, the Galaxy S6’s chassis comprises up of an ‘all-metal body,’ which ends up giving the Galaxy S5 an inferior design and look. After severing its partnership with Qualcomm, Samsung’s home grown flagship chipset, the Exynos 7420 has been incorporated in to the flagship product. The chipset features an octa-core processor that is broken down in to one quad-core processor that is clocked in at 2.1GHz while the remainder of the cores possess a clock frequency of 1.5GHz.

Furthermore, the Galaxy S6 will provide new levels of multitasking capabilities thanks to its 3 GB of RAM.Perhaps the biggest blunder that Samsung could make with its flagship smartphone was not incorporating a microSD slot to the Galaxy S6. The device is void of a way of expanding storage but it will still be available in the 32, 64 and 128 GB capacity models, which should easily suffice for regular smartphone users.

Apart from an improved fingerprint scanner, the rear side of the chassis features a 16 MP shooter while a 5 MP camera is present at the front in order to make sure that the user’s selfies come out detailed, accurate and decorated.

Samsung’s new TouchWiz user interface has been toned down in to presenting more useful features rather than the usual pre-loaded applications. The Galaxy S6 will be running Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box and will go on sale on April 10, 2015.
