Samsung has confirmed that its working on their Alpha series smartphone that would be made out of metal instead of plastic and their first metal smartphone would be known as Samsung Galaxy Alpha but that is not all as Samsung has further plans to launch other models in their Galaxy Alpha series as well and a couple of models got leaked including SM-A300, SM-A500, and SM-A700.
Among the three models only the specs of SM-A500 got out through GFXBench which shows that the smartphone has a slightly bigger screen than the Samsung Galaxy Alpha which is said to be at 4.7 inches while SM-A500 will sport a 4.8 inch screen with the same 720P resolution. SM-A500 is also equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processors that is not only a quad core processor but also runs on the latest 64-bit architecture. The processor is not the most powerful in the Qualcomm’s new 64-bit line of processors but will certainly get the job done with that low resolution screen. Other than that the smartphone will have 2GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage with micro-SD card slot expansion, 4.7MP camera at the front while a 12MP camera on the back and will be running the latest Android kitkat 4.4.4 that will be later on update to Android L to take the full potential of the 64-bit processor.
Right now there aren’t any pictures available of the Samsung SM-A500 but it should look exactly the same like the Samsung Galaxy Alpha. Judging from the model number the SM-A500 lies in between the other two models which means that SM-300 would be the low end smartphone while SM-A700 would be the high end smartphone, but that is not for sure. We will update you guys as soon as something comes up.
