Samsung is going to later on come with other models in the Samsung Galaxy Alpha line of smartphones among which one is rumored to be the Samsung SM-A500. According to previous rumors the smartphone was said to be equipped with a 4.8 inch screen that will support a resolution of 720P. This might not be true as SamMobile has just revealed the specs of the SM-A500 which are quite different from previous rumored specs.
According to SamMobile the Samsung SM-A500 will have a 5 inch screen instead of 8 inch screen but will support a resolution of 720P. Other than that the complete body of the SM-A500 would be made out of metal without the option to remove the back cover. If you don’t know the back cover of the Samsung Galaxy Alpha is removable but it’s made out of plastic instead of metal. Because of this unibody design Samsung SM-A500 might have a more premium feel to it than the Samsung Galaxy Alpha.
Previous rumors also suggested that Samsung SM-A500 would be equipped with a Qualcomm 410 64-bit processor but according to SamMobile that might not be true as SamMobile said that Samsung SM-A500 would be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 instead which is a capable processor for a 720P screen. Other than that Samsung SM-A500 will have a 5MP camera at the front while an 8MP camera on the back, 16GB of onboard storage and to power it all 2330mAh battery.
We sure are waiting for the smartphone to launch soon so that we can see what the smartphone would look like. What do you think about Samsung moving towards smartphones made out of metal instead of plastic, would you be willing be get one when it comes out and what are your expectations towards it?
