Samsung recently announced their much talk about virtual reality device known as Samsung Gear Virtual Reality Headset along with their two new flagship smartphones the Note 4 and the Note Edge. The VR Headset is already been up for preorders and according MobileFun the VR Headset is going to retail at $250.

Samsung also said that the VR Headset is going to be used with the new Note 4 smartphone which would be used as a screen in the VR Headset as the smartphone has a 5.7 inch screen that supports a resolution of 1440×2560 with a pixel density of 515ppi. Note is going to be a great choice for the VR Headset though there was no announcement on whether other smartphones would also be compatible with the VR Headset. Frost White is the only color that is going to be available in the VR Headset and will be available on Samsung’s own website and some selected carriers though official price of the VR Headset has not been announced yet.

Samsung also said that “With the Gear VR Innovator Edition, users can sit in the best seat of a theatre, can be on-stage of a performance with full 360 3D video, and can enjoy gaming like it’s never been seen before – inside the stunning worlds where imagination becomes reality.” The companies that are going to be produce content for the VR Headset are going to be Marvel, DreamWorks, and Legendary Pictures.

Samsung VR headset is made up of light material and is also soft and flexible which won’t make it uncomfortable to wear. Smartphone compatibility might be an issue for the Samsung VR Headset as for now only Note 4 owners would be able to use it. What do you think about the new VR headset from Samsung would you buy one?
