Chinese company Xiaomi always had plans to bring their smartphones to India as it’s still a developing market and there are a lot of buyers who look for affordable smartphones with good hardware. Xiaomi has announced that they are going to launch their Xiaomi Mi3 in India. It will be their first smartphone to be sold in India and also came up with a portal for India on their official website Mi.com.
Xiaomi Mi3 is equipped with a 5 inch display that supports a resolution of 1920 x 1080P with a pixel density of 441ppi, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.23 GHz coupled Andreno 330 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, 13MP camera on the back while a 2MP camera at the front and to power it all a3050mAh battery. Xiaomi Mi3 will be running MIUI skin on top of Android Jelly Bean 4.3. Now what’s a deal breaker about this phone is that it offers all these specs at a price point of $250 and not only that but Xiaomi didn’t even compromise the build quality of Xiaomi Mi3 as its made out of magnesium alloy.
The only con about this phone can be the non-existence of a micro SD card but Xiaomi also covers that as it will be offering Xiaomi cloud service that will let users save their messages, contacts etc. As well as back up their apps that fills in the gap for a micro SD card. Though the smartphone comes in the category of an affordable smartphone but it’s going to compete with some of the high end devices present in the Indian market including the Galaxy S5, HTC ONE M8, Nexus 5 and many others. A phone like this is surely going to make an impact and will make people think twice before going for a high end device.
